Injuries Piling Up For The Jets

Injuries continue to mount for the New York Jets as Santonio Holmes and Stephen Hill are likely to miss Monday nights game against the Atlanta Falcons. Hill was injured the second play of the game after Geno threw a pick the safety hit Hill right in the head as a defenseless receiver as that hit should be looked at by the league and warrant a fine.

Holmes was hurt running a route and fell, much like last year except he hurt his hamstring and reports say he is likely to miss a month. This would be a huge blow to the Jets offense as they are void of playmakers. To try and add some depth to the WR corps, the jets plan to sign David Nelson, and they also worked out Josh Cribbs again who will mainly provide solid special teams play as Clyde Gates just isn't cutting it.

The Jets will also be getting back Mike Goodson who has been suspended the previous four games for violating the substance abuse policy. No update has been given on Dee Millner and Chris Ivory as they too are both recovering from hamstring injuries.
