Jets Game Plan VS Bills

The New York Jets face the Buffalo Bills Sunday afternoon. The Jets need to focus on containing CJ Spiller. Spiller ran all over the Jets last year producing 325 yards from scrimmage. Spiller excels when he hits the edge of a defense and then shows his real speed. The Jets linebackers have to set the edge against him because he can break an 80 yard run at any moment. The Jets defense is much more improved than last years. They held Doug Martin and Stevan Ridley to a combined 105 yards averaging 2.6 yards a carry, thanks to Muhammad Wilkerson, Kenrick Ellis, Damon Harrison, and Sheldon Richardson who have dominated upfront.

Lastly the Jets need to try and confuse EJ Manuel. Manuel has completed 75 percent of his passes under 10 yards. The Bills like to run a no huddle offense, averaging one play every 22 seconds which believe it or not makes them the fastest offense in the league. Manuel is mainly a dink and dunk passer always looking for his hot read and consistently throwing to them. The Jets need to take that away and let Manuel display his arm strength and throw it downfield where the Jets can force some turnovers. Look for Rex to throw everything at this rookie QB as the Jets look for their 2nd win this season.
